Now you have a great selection of rhythms to use, so we can start to play melodies that sound really good.

Try this one out to start with:

Notice that we’ve stopped putting finger numbers under every note. Most sheet music doesn’t show fingerings unless they differ from what you would normally expect to find. So, in this case, keep your right hand in its usual five-finger position with the thumb on Middle C, and all the notes will fall under those five fingers. Don’t be tempted to move your hand out of this position, as you could find that you don’t have enough fingers left to finish the tune!
